Coronary Heart Disease / CHOLESTEROL
Drug medicine in the
U.S. holds that the basic cause of coronary heart disease is not known, and assumes that
it is an irreversible disease. Both are tragic errors.
I propose the theory that coronary artery disease is caused by
accelerated oxidative injury, and is reversible.
Cholesterol cats---the money men of the cholesterol industry---have
blamed coronary heart disease on cholesterol for decades. This theory has served them
well. The business of cholesterol testing and cholesterol lowering drugs has been
enormously profitable to them. And there are more profits to be made in selling drugs for
treating heart disease. When these measures fail---and they always fail predictably---the
patient is passed on to coronary "angioplasterers" and coronary bypassers for
their share.
Cholesterol-lowering
drugs and other cardiac drugs used to manage coronary artery disease do not reverse
coronary artery disease.
Coronary angioplasty---as
necessary as it may be for a small number of patients with impending cardiac crisis---does
not reverse coronary artery disease.
Coronary bypass
surgery---if it is ever truly necessary---does not reverse coronary artery disease.
These are
crucially important messages for the sufferers of coronary artery disease.
Natural, unoxidized cholesterol is innocent and an essential molecule. Why would Nature assign
cholesterol so many essential roles in preserving the functional and structural integrity
of cell membranes and in hormone synthesis if it were such an evil molecule?
It is a
mistake to believe that cholesterol causes heart attacks
Coronary artery disease is
reversible. The effective strategies for this purpose include: 1) Optimal choices
in the kitchen; 2) slow, sustained exercise; 3) meditation and self-regulatory methods for
slowing the heart; 4) avoidance of environmental triggers that cause adrenaline and
neurotransmitter roller coasters; and 5) integrative programs to normalize the cell
membranes of cardiac muscle and coronary arteries with intravenous infusions of EDTA
(ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) and related chelating agents as well as certain key
minerals and amino acids.
I have had rather extensive experience with caring for patients with
advanced coronary artery disease. To date, all those who closely followed the total
program and were able to take 30 or more infusions of EDTA have shown very satisfactory
clinical responses. Specifically:
1. Absence of
angina attacks or far fewer and less severe episodes.
2. Absence of
heart palpitations or far fewer and less severe episodes.
3.
Discontinuance of most cardiac drugs or a markedly reduced dosage.
4. Avoidance
of coronary angioplasty or bypass surgery.
5. Increased
depth of sleep
6. A general
sense of well-being
7. Reduced
fear of an impending catastrophe
8. Decreased
bowel transit time
The last item
may raise some eyebrows, but the integrity of the bowel ecosystem profoundly affects the
cardiovascular status. For this reason, our heart disease reversal program puts special
emphasis on restoring a
damaged
bowel ecosystem.
